Advised lenders led by State Bank of India on one of Asia’s single largest project financing transactions with project debt of INR 28,500 Crores (for a project cost of ~ INR 55,000 Crores) for construction of the Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway (one of the longest access controlled highways in India and Asia).

Advised lenders led by State Bank of India in the market leading and precedent setting ‘one time restructuring’ of debt in excess of INR 20,000 Crores for Shapoorji Pallonji’s flagship entity.

Advised Adani Electricity in their debut USD 1 Billion Bond issue and follow on establishment of the USD 2 Billion GMTN program.

Advised Adani Green Energy in their market leading USD 1.35 Billion financing raised for greenfield renewable power projects from overseas banks and financial institutions.

advising Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation in structuring the concession for capacity augmentation and tolling of the critically important Mumbai Pune Expressway.

Advised Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, in its leveraged financing of around INR 17500 crores for the Mumbai Pune Expressway and its proposed capacity augmentation. The Mumbai Pune expressway is a major connectivity link in Western India and the transaction involved a unique confluence of project financing coupled with leverage of cashflows leading to a one of a kind structured financing and concessional construct.

Advised Mizuho Bank, Limited., MUFG Bank, Limited, GIFT Branch and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Singapore Branch in connection with the grant of facilities aggregating to USD 400 million and JPY 10.25 billion Adani International Ports Holdings Pte Limited for the part financing of the acquisition of 100% shares in the Haifa Port Company Limited, a special purpose vehicle formed in Israel, which operates the strategic Haifa port, one of the two primary Israeli ports and economic bridges that is critical in connecting Israel to the rest of the world.

Advising lenders led by State Bank of India and YES Bank Limited in their refinancing of INR 8,500 Crores of existing debt as part of the acquisition of Bombay Electricity Supply and Generation Business by Adani Electricity from Reliance Infra.

Acted as exclusive legal counsel to the lenders in restructuring of debt of around INR 6,000 Crores through change of management and divestment of lenders’ stake in GMR’s 1375 MW thermal power plant to Adani Power. This was one of the first large ticket restructurings under RBI’s principal circular for resolution of stressed assets.

Advised Sammaan Capital (erstwhile Indiabulls) in its securitisation and reinvestment in specific assets in its real estate portfolio to the tune of approximately INR 5000 crores (equivalent to approximately USD 607 million) in partnership with Oaktree Capital.
