Ankit specializes in private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions in various sectors involving renewable energy, projects and infrastructure, specialty chemicals, and agricultural technology.
He has in-depth knowledge and understanding in advising clients on private equity deals involving foreign investments into India, M&A deals and on corporate commercial issues involving these transactions. He has represented both domestic and international clients in these transactions and his role encompasses everything from undertaking due diligence to drafting and finalising transaction documents, negotiating these documents with counter parties, and providing invaluable support throughout the closing process. His extensive knowledge and hands-on experience make him a trusted advisor in complex corporate transactions across sectors.

Advised AMPIN Energy Transition on equity fund raise up to USD 200 million from Intermediate Capital Group, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and SDIEF and subsequent equity fund raise of USD 50 million from Siemens.

Advised IFU (Investment Fund for Developing Countries) and UNOPS (United Nations Office for Project Services) in relation to their minority equity investment in an SPV developing 250 MW solar power project in Rajasthan with ACME.

Advised Berkeley Energy in relation to sale of its solar and wind portfolio with an aggregate capacity of 160 MW in India to O2

Advised O2 Power in relation to their acquisition of four operational power projects located in Karnataka with a cumulative capacity of 55 MW from

Advised Statkraft in relation to sale of its distributed solar business in the state of Karnataka to Fourth Partner Energy.

Advised ReNew Power in relation to acquisition of an operational 99 MW hydro power project in Uttarakhand from L&T.

Advised IB-Vogt in relation to sale of a 200 MW solar power project (undertaking merchant sale) in Rajasthan to INGKA

Advised Crystal Crop on its acquisition of the ‘Sadanand’ brand of cotton seeds from Kohinoor by way of a business transfer agreement, lock stock and barrel and its acquisition of I & B Seed Private Limited from its promoters and W Atlee Company.

Advised Intello Labs in relation to their fund raise from their existing investors and two new financial investors for their Series B round of funding.
