Our Partner, Sudeshna Guha Roy, participated in a panel discussion titled, “Winning the Case, Losing the Award?”, held as part of London International Disputes Week (LIDW) 2026.

She joined a distinguished panel of practitioners comprising:

  • David Kavanagh KC (Independent Arbitrator)
  • Niranjan V (Barrister, One Essex Court)
  • Srishti Jain (Managing Associate, Humphries Kerstter) (Moderator)

The discussion examined some of the most debated issues in contemporary arbitration practice, including procedural strategy, due process considerations, enforcement risks, and the evolving role of public policy in India–UK arbitration. Sudeshna shared her perspectives on the enforceability of damages, interest, and penalty-style provisions in cross-border disputes, and the practical challenges that arise at the enforcement stage.
