Mohit Saraf featured in an interview on Republic World
In an interview with Republic World, our Founder and Managing Partner, Mohit Saraf, who is also a member of the FICCI National Executive Committee, discussed U.S. President Donald Trump’s use of tariffs and their impact on global trade.
He explained that tariffs, initially meant to address trade imbalances, are increasingly being used as political tools, citing examples such as Brazilian and Russian oil imports. Mr. Saraf also noted that this marks a shift away from the World Trade Organization’s principle of equal treatment.
He stressed the need for long-term agreements built on mutual compromise, warning that without balance, negotiations could drag on without resolution.
